Dear Members,
Our second business year ends and we can look back on a successful year thanks to joint work. 75 companies are currently working in our network on the establishment and series production readiness of additive manufacturing in industrial production!
Five new member companies will join this group at the beginning of the new business year:
The Israeli startup LEO Lane offers its own ecosystem for the management, control and secure use of your own print data.
Trenitalia, Italy’s largest railway company, was created in 2000 by separating the freight and passenger transport business from the parent company Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FS).
O.R. Lasertechnologie GmbH from Dieburg, Germany, has been dealing with innovative concepts in laser technology for more than 20 years and supplies its own industrial laser systems all over the world.
Faiveley Transport is a French provider of rail systems and services with headquarters near Paris and locations in 26 countries. The company belongs to the American Wabtec Corporation, which supplies locomotives and rail vehicle components and is expected to merge with GE Transportation in 2019.
The team of Industrial Partners GmbH from Frankfurt am Main, Beerfelden im Odenwald and Tianjin, P.R. China develops and designs individual components, subsystems and products for various industrial sectors. It supports its customers from the idea to the series part, even with the correct use of additive production.
Welcome to the network and on a good cooperation!

Advisory Board
Due to Steffen Kuhn’s change to EOS and the avoidance of dominance by a company, Nikolai Zaepernick leaves the network advisory board. We would like to thank Nikolai for his work since the foundation of the network!
We will continue to work closely with EOS on the Network Advisory Board with Steffen Kuhn.
Annual Meeting 2018
Our Annual Meeting in the network is coming up! On 26.09.2018 we meet in Berlin.
The general meeting will be followed by an exciting networking programme that is open to everyone and will once again provide an all-round overview of the network topics and successes, provide new inspiration and get to know our new members.
What has happened in the working groups?
-Direct discussion in an interactive market stand concept with the working group leaders
What’s the news?
-Be informed about current developments even before Formnext, e.g. by DesktopMetal Printing to reduce postprocessing effort
-Get to know completely new applications, e.g. wheelset bearing caps printed with 3DMP
-A look beyond the end of one’s nose: How far is the pressure of human spare parts? From heart valves to tissue printing – a realistic insight
-Everyone is talking about digitisation and it is being implemented in Europe’s largest mobility and logistics group by her: Prof. Dr. Sabina Jeschke, Director of Technology and Digitization at Deutsche Bahn, reports on the digitization of Deutsche Bahn and what role 3D printing plays in it
-Berlin brings industry back: State Secretary for Economic Affairs of Berlin, Christian Rickerts, former head of Wikipedia, reveals his vision of 3D printing in the capital
-And you’ll be there when Mobility goes Additive celebrates its entry into the 3D printing hub – with jazz quartet and DJ – until early in the morning!
